The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has denied the publications and claims that the agency has lifted ban on sachet alcoholic beverages.
Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, said this during a media briefing in Lagos.
She said that the ban on sachet alcohol was Minister of Health’s directive.
and the ban still remains until the minister responds.
Prof. Adeyeye said that when the agency was again advised to suspend the ban, she responded by saying that it was a ministerial directive, and that she had not received any directive by the Coordinating Minister to suspend the ban.
