The former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has filed a lawsuit against the Kaduna State House of Assembly over allegations of corruption.
The former Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is challenging a report that was given by the Assembly’s committee over allegations on his administration of embezzling ₦432 billion thereby leaving the state with a lot of debt liabilities.
El Rufai argues that the committee did not provide him with a fair hearing and is seeking a declaration that the report is null and void.
Muyiwa Adekeye, El-Rufai’s spokesman has dismissed the allegations as “scandalous” and emphasize the integrity of El-Rufai’s government.
Recall that, Honourable FM had earlier reported the alleged corruption levelled against the immediate past administration in Kaduna State as this lawsuit is the latest development in a probe launched by the Kaduna State Assembly into the finances of El-Rufai’s administration.
