UPDATED: Bandits release Kaduna judge as children still in captive, demand N150m ransom

Janet Gimba, the Kaduna judge who was kidnapped along with her four children on Sunday have been released.

Nevertheless, the judge’s husband, Dr. Musa Gimba who confirmed the release, said the children are still being held by the bandits.

Gimba, a medical doctor said the bandits are demanding N150 million ransom for the release of the remaining children within three days while threatening to kill them failure to.

Mansir Hassan ASP, the Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer stated that the hoodlums killed the 14-year-old eldest son of the judge, Victor Gimba.

He said operatives found Victor’s corpse at Ungwan Bayero, Duste village near the gate along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

The police spokesperson said in the wake of the incident, the command and other sister security agencies are working tirelessly to rescue the victims and arrest the terrorists.
