Dangote Petroleum Refinery has revealed a new ex-depot price for its premium motor spirit (PMS), popularly called petrol, now set at ₦899.50 per litre.

The announcement was made on Thursday by Anthony Chiejina, the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of the Dangote Group, through an official statement.

According to Chiejina, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has lowered the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) product to under ₦900 per litre, aiming to offer Nigerians some relief as the holiday season approaches.

The privately-owned Dangote Refinery, Africa’s first of its kind, had previously reduced the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to ₦970 per litre on November 24. This latest price adjustment aims to lower transportation costs during the festive season.

In a bid to support consumers further, the refinery has introduced a special offer. Customers paying cash for petrol will be eligible to purchase an additional litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.

“To ease transportation expenses during the holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a festive discount on PMS. Starting today, petrol will be available at ₦899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or Single Point Mooring (SPM) facility,” stated Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer.

Chiejina reiterated the refinery’s commitment to supplying Nigerians with high-quality petroleum products at competitive prices, ensuring they are both eco-friendly and engine-compatible.

He also emphasized the transformative impact of the refinery on the Nigerian market, eliminating the country’s reliance on substandard and blended imported fuel products that have previously posed risks to human health, machinery, and the environment.

This price reduction, coupled with innovative incentives, demonstrates Dangote Refinery’s dedication to alleviating financial pressures on Nigerians during the holiday period while raising the bar for product quality and service delivery.
