Former Senator Dino Melaye has expressed joy over the Federal Capital Territory High Court’s ruling in the money laundering case involving the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
Honourable Fm recalls that the FCT High Court, on Tuesday, ordered Yahaya Bello to be held at the Kuje Correctional Centre while awaiting his bail application.
Justice Maryann Anenih also scheduled the hearing for the N110bn money laundering case filed against the former governor by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for January 29 and 30, and February 25 and 27.
In response, Dino Melaye took to his official X account, stating that he had predicted Yahaya Bello’s imprisonment six years ago.
The former lawmaker remarked, “Six years ago, SDM predicted that Yahaya Bello would end up in prison.
“Now, he will spend Christmas in Kuje prison. All power belongs to God.”
